1. Which chapter in World History did you enjoy most this year and why?

The most interesting chapter that I learned about this year is War World 1. We learned about that the Eastern front was Russia and Austria-Hungary and the Western front was Great Britain and France fighting Germany. We learned that the war began in 1914-1918. In the war Germany invented poisonous gas to try to win the war. But the American army learned how to use gas masks that helped us in the war. We won the war, because we had way more soldiers and all armies surrendered including Germany.

2. Describe some of the things that you learned in that chapter.

Some things that I learned in the WWI chapter were that they used gas masks, poisonous gas, bombs, and new weapons and artillery. We also learned how woman helped soldiers in the war. We learned about the alliance system and that if one country was attacked the other countries would have to help. There was the Triple Entente that had the Alliance with France, Great Britain, and Russia and then we had the Triple Alliance with Austria-Hungary, Germany, and Italy.

3. What new skills have you learned throughout the year?
Some new skills that I learned throughout the year were to do repetitive studying. I also learned how to improve on my essays on S.S tests. One other thing that I learned this year was to try your best.

4. How can you apply this knowledge to the real world?
I can apply my knowledge to the real world by learning about how wars in the past occurred. Another thing that I learned in S.S was how we can help the people serving in the armed forces. I learned a lot of things this year and I’m looking forward to learning more about WWI and WWII next year.
